ABOUT TOWNSEND SPEECH THERAPY

Nadia Townsend is an ASHA-certified and CA-licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in San Jose, CA. She holds a master's degree in speech-language pathology from San Jose State University. Nadia has experience as an SLP and AAC specialist in both the public school and private practice settings. She is also a part-time lecturer for San Jose State University. Nadia is pursuing her clinical doctorate (SLPD) with Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, where her research is centered on AAC and literacy.

 

Nadia believes in incorporating child-led, evidence-based practices into her sessions. Her areas of expertise include the assessment and treatment of speech sound disorders and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). 

 

In her spare time, Nadia enjoys crafting, reading, attending sporting events, and spending time with her husband and two dogs.
